US RACK™ OFFERS A Convenient new alternative for safely carrying ladders and
other cargo on pickup trucks.
MADERA, CA – U.S. Rack is releasing a new ladder rack for 2008 that allows ladders and other cargo to be safely carried without ropes, bungee cords or additional straps. Like some other side-mounted ladder racks, the Sidewinder is a two section rack that has expandable horizontal arms that will carry cargo up to 30 inches wide and 250 lbs. This rack, however, has an integrated ratchet strap mounted to each vertical leg. When loaded, the cargo can be strapped into place in seconds. Simply draw the strap from the spool, toss the end of the strap over the cargo, place the hook into the sliding ring on the strap, and wind the strap tight with the ratchet. When the cargo is removed the strap can be drawn back into the stored position just as quickly.
Each section of the rack has a heavy duty receiver that stays mounted to the side of the bed while the main part of the rack can be removed within a minute when not in use. The Sidewinder also has tie-down loops for use if needed with supplemental ropes or straps for odd shaped cargo. This steel rack has a tough powder-coated black finish and threaded hardware is stainless steel.
